The Force Unleashed not for PC
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

After 23,000 signatures on http://www.petitiononline.com/g5d4iu5f/ The force Unleashed still hasn't come out on PC.

There are people ranting and raving about this issue and yet nothing. My personal view is that LucasArts will release The Force Unleashed (TFU) on PC years later (see Halo 2.)

However, I do hope the company sees sense otherwise they will be missing out on a big PC market.

The PC can handle Digital Molecular Matter and many other technologies (hey it candle Crysis)

With the release of Vista most PC's with a half-decent Graphics Card (think 7600GT and above) could handle this game.

Oh well if worse comes to worse there's always my trusty PS2.

I'll leave it open to you guys: Should the Force Unleashed be released on PC?

It'd be great if they released it on PC, but the thing is, it just costs a lot more on PC.

The number of computers capable of running TFU (and Crysis, and other high end games) isn't very large compared to the console market. Not too many have great gaming PC's, especially since consoles have become so powerful.

PC's aren't standardized. It's harder to test PC games because they have to be tested under all sorts of conditions, and hardware.

Piracy is a big issue, too. Steam is pretty much the only way to sell PC games that won't get immediately and incredibly ripped off.

And that's why PC games are unfortunately a dying breed.

NOOOO how can you say that?????

I a PC gamer have no console and have up to now enjoyed the full gaming experience and starwars experience as only episode 3 didn't come out on PC and that didn't do to well. I lived a happy life untill the day I saw that the force unleashed wasn't for PC! I Love Star Wars and I was distraught to see that I would be left out of the 'next chapter in the starwars saga' and 'nearly every console out there' didn't apply to me.

Call of duty 4 did extremely well but you didn't need a great computer to play it however it you had a great computer then you could play it with better graphics and features. TFU should be like that Dmn and Euphoria should be options that you only turn on if you can handle it.
alot more people have PC's than consoles and might be inclined to buy it.

As for me I'm going to keep checking the updates in hope that one day PC will appear on that cursed list and i can be happy again.

I wish to point out the merit JawaJoey's comment, the PC's are not standardized, however, most games are made on a PC system of some sort. Most Desktop PC's (unless you are buying a brand-name PC "shiver") came with a half decent graphics card in the last 2 years. Furthermore, there are PC's on the market now that can outstrip a console. The ability to run Digital Molecular Matter depends on the PC, true but at the same time game settings can be changed on a PC (the toning down of physics has been added to recent games).

Piracy is a big issue, after all we live in a digital world, consoles are at risk too but I agree that PC's generally are more of a target for piracy due to the advent of P2P programs.

well that is a double edged sword. On one side I would like to see it for the pc, just cause it looks like another well thoughtout game. But for me as well as I know myself I will be addicted to that too. the sw galaxies I played non stop cause there was always something new to learn & discover, interact with. It kept me from hanging out at the cantina, however I went way overboard on my gametime. was unable to put it down and log off unless I crashed. would also like to see some usb type wireless controls made, to be more physically challenged, so Im not sitting around just playing star wars 3-4 times a week an hour at a time. my 2cents worth

Saying there isn't enough capable "Gaming PC's" out there is rediculous. There is a HUGE amount of people still buying and using PC's for gaming. There are three gaming PC's in my house alone and I know many more people who play games on PC's. In fact I refuse to buy a console just for the fact that I prefer to play games on a PC.

"The number of computers capable of running TFU (and Crysis, and other high end games) isn't very large compared to the console market. Not too many have great gaming PC's, especially since consoles have become so powerful."

This is true. While there are a lot of computers out there that would be able to run Force Unleashed, in general i think computers just aren't up to the task, no yet anyway.

Still, thats no excuse not to release it on PC for the 23,000 people who CAN play it.

I had a friend who said that "It's financial suicide not to release a new game on the PC"

Plus, i think due to the fact that almost ANY PC game out there can be copied with a half decent burning program, means that some companies are afraid to release their new games on PC straight away. They release them on consoles then wait until they have made a lot of money before releasing it on PC.

Lets face it guys. I think by constantly burning every game out there we have sorta ruined it for ourselves.
