Vista not Star Wars compatible
At the moment I am sitting at my computer hoping that Vista SP1 will fix some of the niggling design issues in the OS that makes some Star Wars games malfunction: To no avail.

Here is a list of great Star Wars games that Vista has trouble with and solutions:

Star Wars Episode I Phantom Menace: Right Click, compatibility run with administrator privileges.

Star Wars Episode I Racer: No solution (you know it barely worked on XP)

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy: Will not run from Games explorer, or start menu. Right click CD launcher exe and run with admin privileges.

Star Wars KOTOR II: Unstable in Vista, will run windowed so right click and maximize. Sometimes the opening videos will loop continuously, just exit the game and start it up again, SAVE often can exit on its own.

Star Wars: Republic Commando: Will run windowed so up the resolution in the game video settings, also opening level may start with no video with incorrect video settings, leave the game at the default graphics settings then change them once the introduction is over to maximize the window.

TOP TIP: If you are having trouble with running any game on Vista right-click the application and select run with admin privileges.
