The
official website for the new independent film is now up!
Zombie Prom is a 1950s horror comic book brought to life as a musical comedy - a rollicking, romp through America's "Atomic Age" and the Golden Age of horror comic books. I've already seen a screening of the movie and it's really funny, it's like
Grease meets
The Rocky Horror Picture Show done as an old EC comic book.
After you watch the movie trailer be sure to check out the comic art gallery featuring artwork by yours truly along with fellow Star Wars artists Jan Duursema and Justin (aka
Kai Justiss) from
World FamousComics.com. We provided original comic book artwork for the film which act as cut scenes for the live action. If you've seen George Romero's and Stephen King's
Creepshow then you get the idea.
Zombie Prom will be playing will be playing
Big Shorts 2 at the Hollywood Pacific Theater in Hollywood Feb. 9th and at the
Beverly Hills Shorts Festival Feb. 24 and 25. The event is at the Wilshire Screening Room, Beverly Hills, CA so if you're in town or nearby head on over or tell your friends. If the film is a success it might open a few more doors for us and everyone involved
Thanks for the support!
UPDATED
Another reason to check out the
Zombie Prom trailer (and the film if you get the chance) is that the sound design, editorial and mix was done at Skywalker Sound. How cool is that? Thanks to Stuart McCowan for the heads up
Also, you can download new mp3s from the movie in the
Zombie Prom Music section.
Enjoy!
