Hello again

Today I was just wondering why the action figures in the stores are so expensive. Im not talking about ROTS figures at Target, but about older figs such as POTF that are no longer available.

Before you say anything, let me say that I know that they should come with a heavier price than first issued for since they are no longer made, and since they are becoming more and more rare. BUT I would be alright if that was the end of the story, however it's not.

I want to know why some stores (yes I am thinking of a local one by me in particular) have to jack up the prices on their figures. I know that a lot of them (especially the one that Im thinking of) just buy them off of ebay or some other auction site like that, and then bring them to their store. I also know that they need to cover the costs of shipping, etc. But often times they seem to be going to far.

For example, the other day I bought 2 POTF sets. (w/ 3 figures in each)
And for these including shipping I paid about $18.00. Then I go into this store that has various SW figures in it and I see these and some other exact sets that I have. Except they are selling these same sets for $30-$35 each + tax!!!

There are other instances that have pretty much the same story line as well.

Now maybe I am just confused. Or this is just a wierd case because I get my sets really cheap, and this store is charging more than average. Maybe they sell them at such high prices because the general public will spend it because they do not go on ebay & other sites like it. I dont know!

This is where I need your help. Does this happen to you? Please guide me in the correct direction and let me know whats going on.
