I know that by now, everyone is tired of hearing all the whining about the BS system that is in place for collectors to obtain a set of the 5 exclusive Clone Commander busts that Gentle Giant is offering up on it's world tour this summer. So I won't add to it. I will, however, offer up a bit of "constructive criticism", if you will, and ask Gentle Giant to please re-think these processes.

If you look at all of the exclusives that have been announced by Gentle Giant for the summer convention season, I think you will have to agree with me that this is getting totally out of hand. I think they have more exclusive merchandise coming out then they have regular merchandise:

5 Clone Commander Mini Busts
Darth Malak Mini Bust
Spirit Yoda Mini Bust
Han/Luke Bust Ups
Yoda/R2 Animated Maquette
Boba Fett Animated Maquette - Droids colors
Luke Skywalker Animated Maquette - Black and White
Lego Blackhole Stormtrooper Maquette

What is the deal with all of these?? What happened to creating a single exclusive that could be sold at summer shows? Do we really need 12 exclusive items for one summer? Not to mention the fact that outside of getting really, really lucky and winning ALL of those raffles, the only way to get all of these will be to literally fly around the world and follow GG to all of the different conventions that they will be attending.

Or you can get them on ebay, for 4x retail price - because that's where most of this stuff will end up. Guaranteed. Doesn't anyone realize that this "exclusive" craze really just helps out the scalpers? Half the people - if not more - that stand in line to buy these items are just going to go home and post it on ebay. If they even wait that long. I guarantee that before the first day of Celebration 4 is over - and that's the "fan" day - there will be dozens of auctions on ebay with these items "in hand". What kind of fans are those??

Please Gentle Giant, stop screwing your fans over. Your real fans, that is. The ones who are actually going to keep the items they buy from you, and not turn them over on ebay for a profit.
