I know that it's an argument that's been raging since ANH premiered almost 30 years ago. Are Stormtroopers clones? And are they the same as the clones in the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR)?

I would think that the original clones would have been too old by the time Luke was old enough to storm the Death Star... but could they be 2nd/3rd/4th Gen clones? And were they copies of the original template, or copies of copies (which some theories suggest, since they are horribly bad shots, and we all know Jango was a good shot. And a good warrior. And a Mandolorian. Which these Stormies are definitely not).

Or are they just humans that the Imperial Army drafted as soldiers? It's obvious that the Empire used regular humans in the army, since all the officers are different, and not one of them appears to be a clone.

So which is it - clones or non-clones?
