Presumably Qui Gon Jin taught himself how to retain his Identity and join the force. Yoda teaches Obi-Wan how to do it by learning from Qui Gon. So my question is how does Anakin retain his identity and join the force? Isnt this a skill that has to be learned?
Furthermore Lucas says in the dvd commentary on ROTJ that a person can join the force and retain their identity before death when joining the force. But isnt it Anakin who defeats the emperor and is redeemed during ROTJ when he is much older, Leaving Darth Vader behind and turning back to the good side? If so then why is it Hayden we see instead of Sebastian Shaw with Yoda and Obi-Wan? I understand that Anakin could never have looked(I assume)like he does in the Sebastian Shaw apparition since Anakin was scarred and burnt and was half machine long before he was the age of the actor Shaw. But again, didnt Anakin Skywalker die on the second Death Star?
Just wondering...Anyone have any ideas?
