What a year for Star Wars ... Ep III and EU.
Well, it's been more than two weeks since the movie came out and the afterglow is beginning to fade ... so it's time to return to the EU.

And there is so much coming soon!

Dark Nest 1: The Joiner King is only just around the corner due for release on July 26 (well, in North America, anyway), and now there's the news that Dark Lord by James Luceno, set just after RotS, has been bumped up to November 22 (from it's originally scheduled Feb 2006 release date).

It's a great year for Star Wars and the EU! :D

The only slightly sad news in all of this is that Outbound Flight by Tim Zahn has been bumped to Feb 2006 instead of its original October 2005 release date. This is a bit of a shame - but as I am certainly looking forward to the Denning and Luceno books more it's a sacrifice I'm quite happy has been made. ;)

And then there's the spoiler news about Dark Nest on the boards - Sue Rostoni has let us in on a passage from the middle book of the trilogy, The Unseen Queen from Sue Rostoni's post (as Eeusu Estornii) at this link:
(WARNING - SPOILERS APLENTY)

"Danger?" Corran's face fell, his green eyes blazzing with conflict as he realized that performing his duty to Chief Omas would mean betraying his personal loyalty to Luke. "Chief Omas wouldn't push things that far."

"I'm not the Master here," Leia said, shrugging. "You'll have to decide that for yourself."

Corran did not even need time to think. His chin simply dropped, then he swung a leg around and started back across the stepping-stones. "You win," he said. "This isn't something I should decide on my own."

"Maybe not," Leia allowed.

Corran stepped off the last stone and gave Leia an exagerated frown. "No gloating at Masters," he said. "Hasn't Saba taught you anything?"

Leia's completing her training, Saba's her Master, she may be at odds with Luke in some way and Corran's a Master ... what a passage, hey!

And as I've already said, What a great year for Star Wars!
