As its title suggests, this book is set in the Mos Eisley Cantina around the time of Episode IV. It is a collection of short stories about the various characters in the Cantina scene (including one who isn't in the special edition scene).
It is being discussed in the BC&T forum
here and more information about it can be found
here and a lot more detail is included in the Amazon listing

I posted my thoughts on this book
here:
Whilst it had its good points, it had some truly wretched ones. Not since I was suffering with morning sickness have I felt so nauseated as I was reading some of these stories, and I don't think I'm particularly squeamish.
The Band's Tale - it was ok and interrelated well with other stories in the book.
Greedo's Tale was a little disappointing in that whilst it makes more sense for him to be inexperienced for Han Solo to have taken him down so easily, the degree of lack of experience and the nature of his prior contact with Han just didn't ring quite true. Maybe if I re-read this one I'll feel differently, as there was quite a bit of substance to the background before the contact with Han that was quite well written. It's been interesting seeing this turned into a comic strip on the hyperspace webstrip page.
The Tale of the Tonnika sisters was quite good - one of the better stories (but it was by Zahn so you would expect it to be good). This may have been in part because I knew Shada, I knew from HoT that there was a backstory to be read and it was interesting to finally read that backstory.
The Tale of Muftak and Kabe was ok but there seemed to be a bit of a glitch in its connectivity with The Hammerhead's tale - somehow the timing of the links didn't quite work out.
The Hammerhead's Tale provided the first squeamish moments - not too much, but it started the ball rolling. It was interesting, though, to see the story that went with the passing reference that I had read regarding the central character in Dark Apprentice.
The Bartender's Tale consolidated the squeamishness and began the real decline from my point of view.
And as for The Lovers' Tale ... Urgh.
The Devaronian's Tale was ok and inter-related well with the Band's Tale
The Jawa's Tale was actually my favourite at first - I really developed quite an empathy for that little fella. Bah.
The Ranat's Tale was clearly a bridge and was fine as such.
The Stormtrooper's Tale was surprisingly good - except for the plot interrelationship with the Jawa's Tale.
The Pipe Smoker's Tale was hideous.
The Spacer's Tale was ok - his force sensitivity was a slightly odd factor and obi-wan's conversation with him just didn't quite click in my opinion, but I suppose it fitted with the visual...
The Tale of Dr Evazan and Ponda Baba was an unpleasant ending to what was an unpleasant read all around
