another fan review of Indy 4....
OK, before anything, i just wanted to say hi to everyone again, after a while of not posting anything, i was going to post something for mother's day but i didn't, and seeing how things go with my last week of my college spring semester (this week) i might be able to blog more about many more things... so i hope you are all having a wonderful weekend... as i sort of am... (there's another blog i'm going to be writing about dealing with the passing of one of my best friends' friend.. well her best friend. later on)

ok, now for the main topic.

Before going to see the movie, i had read a few reviews on it, and somehow they all had something sort of negative towards it. but i still didn't care what they said. So we arrived at the movie theaters at exactly 7, thinking we were going to get that time, but to my surprise it was all sold out. so we ended up getting it for 7:30.

( with the previews going about, i saw one movie preview where Shia is going to come out. i think it was Eagle Eye or something, looked pretty cool. i'll probably look into it later on.)

so the movie began, and I did hear some cheer in the background, which gave me a smile, knowing they were fans as well.

anyway, as the movie progressed, i saw most of the scenes that were talked about in the reviews, (sorry i don't have a link to them, and i'm not as good in giving spoilers, so there's none here) one guy said that one of the scenes was too long, but i thought it was necesary, since it is in the jungle.. and we know the jungle is BIG. in my opinion, the "topic" of the movie, i'd say, was very interesting. But as to another review i read,"it was just the same as the other movies..."

say what? it was just the same thing again? well, just like my friend and i pointed out, it's Indiana Jones, what else do you expect? it's not like he's going to bust out a james bond slash bourne ultimatum kinda thing... you get me? ok well i might not have made my point here..

thing is, i became a bit upset with the guys' comment, mainly because after seeing the first 3 movies again (after years of not seeing it) it shows that even if the movies have the same routine, of cause effect, wanted artifact, enemy and ally, girl and sidekick, problem solution, etc; it's still loved by many fans, and well............... it's Indy! it's like star wars... we're used to watching them fight with lightsabers, now imagine them fighting with the weapons ninjas use, are you imagining? mmmm... yeah... i doubt it will work out, it's just not star wars... so the same goes for Indy. We can't expect to see something "different" when we know what Indy is all about.

ok i think i made my point here, so sure it's the same basis as the other 3, but i would just suggest to see it first and see for yourself. in Indy's terms, "X doesn't always mark the spot" and it goes for reviews, they don't always hit the spot. so if you read a review about something, ignore it and watch it. if you don't like it, ok, if you do, it just proves that they're not always right....well for the person watching it of course.... =] the cool thing was that when we came out, after the movie was over, there was a line for the 10 p.m screening of the movie, and as we stepped outside the theater, we saw the movie times, and again, Indy was sold out... the 10 p.m one of course. It just shows how it's still loved by fans, and this being 2 days after it premiered.

there were some parts, where, for me, you could just tell what was going to happen.but it was still cool.

Anyway, i think i'm done here discussing my point. i wrote lot because i haven't written in a long time. Now that i finally saw Indy, now i'm still awaiting the Clone Wars, as the time is getting near to hitting theaters. and well i'm waiting already to get Indy 4 on dvd for when it comes out, i actually thought it was THAT good.

I know Mr. Ford is past his younger years, but he still has the spirit of Indy in him. :)

*oh and for those Hayden fans, like myself, *hehe* if you didn't know already, Jumper is almost coming out in DVD. =]

Have a great weekend everyone, and if you haven't seen Indy yet, and don't know what to do, GO SEE IT!

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALL.

ZAM-ELI out.........

p.s.
i got two star wars comic books at the Things from another World store in CityWalk, at Universal Studios Hollywood, (for those that live around Los Angeles) and they have a 15 % off discount on everything in the store. as far as i know. hopefully i go again so i can get more of 'em, because i just became a fan of the comics, (it's my first time reading them, yeah i know, late, but better late than never right?)

- oh, and i chose the pic of R2 because he has a hat that's similar to Indy's and well since i mentioned Something about SW, then there ya go.... lol.
