Spawning New Entries
For the upcoming edition of the encyclopedia, I decided to go back and re-read the three books in the so-called Lando Calrissian Adventures: Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu, Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, and Lando Calrissian and the Starcave of ThonBoka. I had read these three ages ago, since they've been in my collection since they first came out decades ago. The information from these books was added during the early life of the encyclopedia, back when I was keeping it DOS E editor files. (Those were the days... when there were less than a thousand entries to manage. With the upcoming edition, there will be over 50,000!) So, the entries were brief, and often composed of incomplete sentences. Revisiting these entries would be a good thing, since they needed to be brought up to the level of quality as more recent entries.

Lo and behold, I found myself adding 34 new entries from Mindharp! How can this be, I asked myself? How can I claim to have the largest Star Wars encyclopedia on the 'net, and not have this stuff in there? Upon further reading and review, there were 33 new entries from Flamewind, and 34 from Starcave.

Did these books suddenly spawn new entries?

Of course not... I simply read through the books the first time without much attention to the details. This gave me pause, however, and I went back through the so-called Han Solo Adventures as well, just to see how much I had missed: 30 new entries from Han Solo at Stars' End, 36 from Han Solo's Revenge, and an amazing 62 from Han Solo and the Lost Legacy.

I guess it's time I pulled out the old books from their spots on my shelves, and get ready for a lot re-reading...!
