Yup... the next edition of The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia will have over 50,000 entries. Yes, there are a few of them that simply say "see some-other-entry", but you're going to have spelling changes and misprints that need to be documented.

I never thought I'd see the day when I hit 50,000. When I was first starting this thing, 10,000 seemed unachievable. About the time Steve Sansweet was producing the first hard-bound Star Wars Encyclopedia, I was at 12,000 entries.

(Interesting side note... I actually had a phone conversation with Mr. Sansweet about the encyclopedia, and offered my help. Problem was, he was trying to focus only on the more prominent characters/droids/locations, and I was going for the full enchilada. Ah well, my shot at fame went kablooie... at least I still have the memory of Vob Bitas to fall back... and even that's getting some press in Abel Pena's blogs!)

Anyhoo, look for the new edition in the coming weeks, as soon as I wrap up Insider #84.
