The Most Expensive Ever...
In his most recent blog, Abel Pena talks about his love of Ewoks. While I can't rightly agree with him on the Ewok thing, there was a brief discussion at the bottom about his purchase of a Wicket Attackus statue. He states that this was his most expensive Star Wars-related purchase ever, at about $280 US.

I immediately thought, "Hmmm, what was the most expensive Star Wars thing I ever purchased?" The answer was quite simple:

A first-edition English-language version of the original Star Wars Chronicles (thanks, Jim, for the review).

I got it at a local comic book show about 10 years ago... paid cash and everything. It's been in the cardboard sleeve ever since, and I take it out only rarely, to show fellow fans. Then, it gets lovingly slid back into the sleeve and placed back on the shelf. It's the only thing on my bookshelf that is covered by cardboard, so it holds a special place!

C'mon now, share... What was your most expensive Star Wars purchase ever?
