OK, here's another dumb entry about the numbers of the
CUSWE. Did you know that the majority of readers access the CUSWE on Thursdays, between the hours of 5pm and 6pm Eastern US time? Odd but true, the website stats bear this out.
Another interesting stat... since the move in April, downloads account for 37 percent of the bytes downloaded, but the all the files (including Versions 8.0 and 81) were only downloaded 1,500 times. Compare that to the 88,100 searches that were done in the same timeframe!
Speaking of searches, the most-often requested search term? Nope, not "Anakin". Uh-uh, not "Vader". "Grievous"? Not even close.
(drumroll, please...)
"Twi'lek", with nearly 480 requests.
Second was "Padme", with just 161 requests. Third was "Anakin", with 142 requests. (Isn't it sweet that they're next to each other in the ranks?)
The largest number of unique visits to the site per week occurred a couple of weeks ago, the week of 09/17/2006, with nearly 21,500 hits. The number two week was back in April, with just over 19,000 hits. Gotta love those 3,000 hit-per-day weeks! Of course, these numbers are fairly middling when compared to the hits that were generated during the months leading up to Episode I. The months of April and May of 1999 saw 1,100 unique visits per day...
The biggest referring single site was the
Wookieepedia, with nearly 7,000 referrals since April. They beat out Google US, which sent readers to the site just 6,000 times since April. Total Google referrals amounted to around 8,100. My
best man's website beat out
Karen Traviss' blog by just a handful of referrals.
The worst number of the night? 4-0... the score by which the
Carolina Hurricanes got beat by the New Jersey Devils tonight. Sigh... defending the Cup is never easy...
