I've been toiling over Version 8.3, and I've come to the conclusion that I've got this weird case of writer's cramp. Instead of being unable to create anything new (the traditional writer's block), I've got no motivation to add entries into the CUSWE. Scary, I know.

My first excuse is work-related. My real job has been quite hectic these days, and I've been seriously swamped for months. My normal two-hours-a-day worth of encyclopedia time has gone down to about two-hours-every-three-days.

My second excuse is family-related. It's back-to-school time, and the girls are adjusting to new schedules, as are my wife and I. Add in dance classes, horseback riding lessons (well, not really... I can work during those), and afterschool activities, and I find myself driving all over the county to get them where they need to be.

My final excuse is a good one, but not a valid one, as I've worked through it before. Yup, it's hockey season, and the Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes are back on the ice. It's been a rough start to the season, but it looks like they're finally turning it back around. (Big-time knocking on wood) We've been season ticket holders with the 'Canes since the early days in Greensboro, and we've become quite the tailgaters. Thus, weekend games become a huge affair, taking away more time.

Don't despair yet, though. This is a relatively slow quarter, new material wise. I've already added the new Darth Bane book, as well as the latest Last of the Jedi chapter. I'm working on the Alien Species guide now, so that last thing I'll need to worry about is Tempest.

Not that this edition is going to be sparse. I've got a ton of Living Force modules to add in, as well as anything that pops up on the OWS. Hmm, maybe another What's The Story entry....?
