If you were perusing the Star Wars blogosphere this weekend, you saw that there is a new fanzine in the works, known as the Star Wars Outsider. If you are a fan of Arthur's work and kept reading, you may have seen a familiar name. Yup, I'm going to be "published"! And now, for the first time (not counting all the What's The Story? entries I've submitted...), the story of Vob Bitas will be made public.

Arthur approached me with the idea of the Outsider a few months back, and asked if I would contribute. We exchanged a few e-mails on some ideas, and finally arrived at the Vob Bitas backstory idea. As I mentioned, I had a lot of the backstory already formulated, since I've been submitting bits and pieces of it for the What's The Story? entries in the Databank. It was just a question of pulling them all together into a cohesive storyline.

Please take some time to visit and bookmark the Outsider website, and keep an eye open for Issue #1. I'd love to hear any comments or criticisms of the story, especially from the more experienced fanfic authors. Although this is my first piece of work, I'm hoping it won't be my last.

I know that I'm excited about it... I'm especially curious to see the artwork Arthur and his illustrators come up with for the story!
