First Pix (sorta...)

Finally, some pictures for this new-and-improved blog. They are not pictures of my actual astromech, but some pre-viz work I did.

The first one is from a picture of an actual hand-built R2-D2, that I colored in PhotoShop. Yes,my PhotoShop skills suck pondwater...

The second one is from the Star Wars Kids section of the OWS. Aw, inn't he cute? Actually, this one is a bit closer to what I want, with the Lincoln Continental cream-colored body. The starting image had some limitations, so please visualize the utility arms as being all red. Same for the colored ring at the base of the dome.

I'm debating the base color of the dome... should it be chrome/aluminum, or cream-colored like the base?

date Posted: Aug 06, 2007 6:20 PM I guess it makes sense to previsualize it before building, just like model and movie makers do etc. I cant really comment on the color choice as I think thats totally a personal taste question...if you care about an outside opinion I wil say it doesnt look bad at all.
