
Ah, parenthood. There are some bad times, and then there are the good times. This is one of those good times. Here are the
first three movements, and the
fourth movement, of my older daughter's marching band routine for this year. Their theme this year is "La Cosa Nostra", and is an homage to the music of the 1920s gangster scene.
My daughter is in the color guard (she come to the front at about 4:50 of the first video), but plays flute in the concert band. The band has been practicing since late July, and they're making steady progress. We've played at two home games already (both before school started), and our first competition is at the end of the month.
