Version 9.2 is Away!
Yes, I know, there haven't been too many RD-22 updates in the last few weeks. There are a few good reasons, though. The work at my real job has been quite hectic, as has the adjustment from summer vacation to the first months of school. Add into it that I also have this encyclopedia thingy that I do, throw in the fact that my Dremel has been on the fritz, and the result is that I've done very little on my droid.

Speaking of the CUSWE, I have just uploaded the files for Version 9.2! It was a bit late, as I reported before, but better late than never. I didn't quite get to the 60,000 entry mark yet (as I had discussed with the guys from the Wookieepedia back at C-IV), but it wasn't for a lack of trying.

I will certainly get close to 60,000 (if I don't pass it) at the turn of the new year, though. My good friend Lady Chiss out in sunny CA just sent me a humongous (sp?) stack of comics, which should keep me busy for a few weeks. I also have the latest "Last of the Jedi" book, the new Ryder Windham Anakin/Vader story, and the new "Death Star" novel to work on... and that's just for the immediate future. I have re-read the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy, and will be updating a few entries because of that. (This should get most of the really ancient entries up-to-snuff with the current style of the encyclopedia.) There's a lot more to come from Lucas Books and other sources in the next few months, so I can assure I will be busy.

Keep your fingers crossed that my Dremel parts arrive tomorrow, as expected. If they do, I may finally finish all the body work and get the final color on the skins before Halloween. Then, it's back to the legs and the feet. I have decided to build by own plywood feet, rather than spend the $300 per foot for steel or aluminum. Everything else will be wood, so why not the feet? The main problem is the outer feet, which have the inner curve to accommodate the battery boxes. I might have to buy some large-diameter PVC pipe and kluge something together.

As my daughter likes to text, TTYL!

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Busy, busy, busy! :D

All I can say is good luck (if you believe in that sort of thing ;)) and have fun while you're engaged in all these activities!

I can't wait to see your completed droid (about which, I must say, I hope you'll post a blog!)!!
