Yes, that title is correct... RD-22 Lives!

I know that I haven't been around here too much lately... between work and life, and this little thing called The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, I've been very busy. I've pushed out another edition of the CUSWE, had my older daughter get accepted to college (1 for 1, so far), and bought a horse.

And, whenever time permits, I work on my droid. His number is RD-22, because that's what my mother used to call R2-D2. For some reason (probably just to get my goat), she always called him RD-22. So, this little was named in honor of her. A really-way-behind status of the build can be found at this link.

The good news is, RD-22 can now move about on his own three feet. I got a lot of electronics and radio control gear recently, and have started moving toward wrapping up the droid build. It's not over by any stretch of the imagination, but getting really close. To see how close, check out my first ever video posted to YouTube. (Yes, RD-22 is headless... I still need to figure out how to pack all the batteries and electronics inside!)
