Hello! i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t-j-a-c here to tell all of you a little story about blogging....ON STARWARS.COM...woot...

May 4th 2005, 15 days b4 ROTS opened in theatres...the first blog, from the desk of ghent. it seems that blogs just kinda appeared....nothing huge at all, just a blog

back then the blgs were filled with VIP blogs mainly,
may 16th everyone anxiously waiting for ROTS, the blogisphere EXPLODED! with over 50 blogs in one day compared to the 15th which had recieved none the 17th had even more and eventually the 16th-the 19th had a grand total of an astonishing 633 blogs....wow...making 158 blogs a day. all in preperation of theconclusion to the best movie 6-ollogy and hobby and BEST ANYTHING EVER.....

I came in eventually...I was regular spacer (or whatever we were called) for a long long time.... and all I remember for a long time then was, Rive. who came in the picture about a year ago with this blog: http://blogs.starwars.com/rive/1/comments
Rive was the man. I can remember he was so popular...it seemed he pushed a front page blog out almost daily....he was the first to enter my blog roll and will never leave.

another thing about the first year or so of the blogs was all of the ideas....for the first time, the blogs let people from the UK talk to people in the US know about why they thought luke was the chosen one. or someone in brazil could completely disagree with that theory and give proof to dis-prove it. and yet someone in australia could go and defend it and make possible again....so many ideas...it was so cool...
there were a ton of theorys. all six movies and even more books were ready to be debated...now-a-days it is only every once in a while that a really exciting new theory comes out. such as Kenobi-fans recent "yoda created order 66" blog.....if you remember the awesome pandamonium from that try tom imagine that kind of awesome except almost once a week.

so try to imagine a time before the joke-a-day sometime....it really was an interesting time....thank you for your time.....

EDIT: yes, I fergot to mention how I love all blogging now, and then.
