An Ode to Lucasarts
Lucasarts. They are the Publisher/Developer of some of our favorite games. Not only have they made our favorite Star Wars games, but before then, Lucasarts was know for some of the best "Point and Click" adventures of the time. Making such classics as "Sam and Max", and "Grim Fandango". In the category of star wars games, they have made such classics as "Jedi Knight" I & II, and Both Knights of the Old Republic games. All of these games are considered classics by gamers, and are all great games.
This week for me was full of lucasarts. I had a bit of girl trouble this week(I don't really wish to go into specifics on this site) But The first thing i wanted to do when I got home, was play Star Wars: Republic Commando. I did, and it distracted me from everything. I felt so much better after playing. It just let me sit back and kill Droid's and Trando's. I was able to completely let go, and it made me feel much better. And on I go to my next point
Recently there was an article in GameInformer(just ask in the comments section and I will tell more) about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I am uber pumped for this game. Everyone should be. even if they aren't a star wars fan, this game should be
crazy ridiculous awesome. And I came to realize something important...
Lucasarts
never disappoints us fans. I mean,
never. Every game of theirs that I have played, has been awesome. There have never been any
revolutionary games, but Lucasarts is a fairly small developer, and that is not expected of them. However; it seems that almost every game is not only accepted well by the media, but also by consumers, rewarding everybody with awesome sequels, while most games do not break the barriers of gaming, they are certainly all fine games and never disappoint.. and that brings me to the point of this blog.
Thank you Lucasarts.
Thats pretty much it. but to conclude this blog, I have to say, one last thing. Keep it up. Lucasarts. you have never disappointed me. ever. And as we enter the new generation of gaming, I want to see you guys put yourselves out that. I want to see you guys being considered as one of the best developers in the business. Be mentioned among such developers as "id", and "Epic Games", and "Bungie". you're gonna have to work for it, but I have to say, from what I have seen of "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed", you're on the right track.
