Home One Briefing Roster
Here it is! The roster of the rosters. In this blog I've added all Rebel Alliance personnel seen during the Home One Briefing and the Home One Docking Bay. I had more work adding all the unknown characters than adding the known ones ...

Do you like crowded scenes in the movies like the Cantina, Jabba's Palace, the Outlander or the Coruscant Opera House? Well, the briefing at Home One must be the most underestimated crowded scene in the entire Saga. Almost 100 different characters appear in this sequence!

If it wasn't for Decipher, these scenes would be filled with unknown characters. Even now, the amount of unknown characters is astonishing! It's really unbelievable how many characters are still without a name in this scene. I'll be very swift with the Home One Docking Bay sequence. Besides the heroes, there are only three characters known to appear: Nien Nunb, Loci Rosen and Corporal Marmor. All the other characters are unknown.

Since there are so many characters in this sequence I've given them all a number and added numbers to several pictures of the briefing. You can use the numbers to identify the characters.

@Yoda: Oh, well I thought Dressellians were a rather known species

Well, my EU library could be counted on the fingers of one hand so there are many aspects of Star Wars that I don't know about.

So my first reaction to seeing that dude was: Woah! Another E.T cameo?

Ever since the Complete Visual Dictionary came out, I think there's an interesting change with our only woman pilot in this briefing room. You can see her in one very wide shot and then you can catch a glimpse over Lando's shoulder. The Karie Neth card is one of Decipher's reconstructed characters, but you can catch Lando's cape in the picture. Now, when the Comp. Vis. Dict. came out, we see the in-the-cockpit female pilot revealed in the Hyperspace photo named Dorovio Bold. My guess is that the actress in the briefing room is the one in that close-up photo. The problem is, she can't be Neth because the CCG says Neth was in a Y-wing, while "Dorovio"s close-up is in an X-wing cockpit.

So, my point is, I believe that woman in the briefing room is actually Karie Neth AND Dorovio Bold. If you get my meaning...

Did I mention this is a great blog, especially with the numbered photo. But along with what I said before, I hadn't realized how obvious it was that each fighter pilot has a distinct uniform depending on their specific type of fighter. It's made obvious my the fact that each group is sitting or standing together. I don't know of any close-ups of the outfits, but I never noticed ROTJ Y-wing pilots have gray uniforms. Hence, "Gray Squadron," I guess. Too bad Decipher ignored this and stuck Kian and Neth in Y-wings. Though they did make them former Rogues, maybe to explain the orange flightsuits. It's obvious, though, what LFL intended with the uniforms.

Thx for having interest in my blog :) I have picture of Bold from Hyperspace and it could be Neth. But ... the magazine of the Belgian SW fanclub (where I'm editor of) had an interview some time ago with the woman who played Neth. She never mentioned anything about cockpit scenes. I think think they are two different pilots, because none of the other close-up pilots from the battle (except Wedge) appear in the Home One scene.

Makes sense that she would've mentioned the cockpit scenes if there were any. Funny how in both ANH and ROTJ, nearly every pilot in the briefing scene did not appear on film. But why would they? The original films probably had some strange shooting schedules, and since the pilots seen flying aren't really important characters, why waste time having them stand around and say nothing when generic extras will do. It doesn't really matter in ROTJ, anyway. That briefing room obviously doesn't hold every Rebel in the fleet!

I commented on another possible ANH briefing room pilot seen on film in your older blog:

I need to check the possible Naytaan later :) I guess the reason for their absence is because the close-up pilots were usually 'real' actors. The people in the briefing scenes were just lucky to be there :p
