Last Friday I was invited on behalf of TeeKay-421 to the official press conference of 'Star Wars, the Exhibition' that will open in Brussels on February 16.

The conference was well organised with the assistance of the nice Nikko R2-D2 projector and attended by several costumed fans from TeeKay-421, Rebel Legion Benelux and FanWars 501st South Garrison. The plans to set up the Darth Vader balloon were not to happen for there was too much wind and rain. Anthony Daniels made a guest appearance at the press conference where he spoke French rather fluent. Luckily he also spoke in English so we could hear him answering questions in his entertaining behavior and voice.

Since TeeKay has been involved in the plans of the Expo for several months, we didn't learn many new things but I got a look at the floorplans of 2500mē with more than 285 objects. The plans look great and are organized by planet but also chronologically according to the life of Anakin.

TeeKay will be present at the VIP opening on Friday February 15. There is also a green screen, a Jedi training center and a souvenir shop. The objects will be moved to the former winecellars of the gigantic building (that used to belong to the Belgian railways). That dark environment will make a geat location for the props, drawings and maquettes from the Lucasfilm Archives.
