Treva Horme & Wiorkettle: An odd couple
The Star Wars universe is filled with odd couples and great background characters you can hardly notice. You'll certainly think of a few couples right now but what about Treva Horme and Wiorkettle? In this blog I'll explain who they are.

Treva Horme and Wiorkettle have always been among my favourite background characters. The Snivvians are one of my favorite species and I've even used another Lutrillian (Solomahal) in my "What's the Story" entry of Tzizvvt. I first saw them in the Cloud City CCG Set where they both have cards. I was happy to see that their backstory had been expanded in the 2nd edition of Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back (Pablo Hidalgo wrote their backgrounds). In the Rough and Tundra expansion on the website of Wizards of the Coast, there is more additional info on Treva Horme.

1. Who are Treva Horme & Wiorkettle?
Treva Horme and Wiorkettle are two of the three partners of Planet Dreams, Incorporated. This firm is specialised in terraforming and builds villas and luxury private resorts on uninhabitable locations such as asteroids.

Wiorkettle is a male (1) Snivvian who is the artist of the three partners. He takes care of the aesthetic aspect of the projects and the sculpted domes of Planet Dreams. He's known to throw himself into his work and he often works during the night until his work is perfect.

Treva Horme is a Lutrillian businesswoman who is the executive planner. She takes care of the production schedule and allocates resources to projects. She also keeps an eye on the deadline of projects. Accountancy is not her best skill but she's very good at presenting projects. Treva successfully sold the Doaskin Compound of the Tagge family and sold Lynciro Corp's "Master of Coins" resort on Togominda.

The third partner is an old Ugnaught named Ozz.

During the evacuation of Cloud City in 3 ABY, Wiorkettle and Treva Horme escape the city into a Shuttle and set up a new firm in the Oseon Asteroid Field.

2. Where can they be seen?
Sadly, Treva and Wiorkettle were almost deleted from the movie. They can be seen in a rush when Cloud City citizens run past Lando, Leia and Chewie. Treva can be seen clearly but I'm still not sure about Wiorkettle. There is a blue blur so let's hope this is our Snivvian.

There are several photos taken on set that show us that both aliens were present on the set. There is a picture that shows a small part of both aliens so we even have an idea where they were supposed to be or where they just went out of the camera's reach.

3. More Pictures
* Treva & Wiorkettle's CCG card: Decipher succeeded once again is messing the images up on the CCG card. The image is taken apart and the background is just added.

- Treva Horme CCG
- Wiorkettle CCG

* The friendship between the two aliens (or maybe more than friendship) can be seen in some pictures where they are together. There is this picture (also seen partially before at SW.com Databank) and this page in a TESB Kenner Colorbook.

- Treva Horme & Wiorkettle from the TESB Coloring Book
- Treva Horme & Wiorkettle close

* Comic: Treva Horme can also be seen walking at Cloud City in the Comic Adaptation of Marvel.

- Treva Horme in the TESB Comic Adaptation (or another Lutrillian but this one must have been drawn from Treva)

Let's hope that Hasbro one day decides to make these figures. To me they are a perfect example of the fabulous background characters that populate the Star Wars universe.

(1) Wiorkettle is male, not female! It does look like he has breasts and that's because he was played by Catherine Munroe who also played the part of Zuckuss.

Well, I think you've succeeded in your goal, Somp. I had absolutely no idea that these guys were in the movie, but you've educated me. Just goes to show how rich the Star Wars mythology is. Cheers!

I love these guys. And I'll let you in a on a little secret. When naming them and creating their backstories for Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back, 2nd Edition, I was trying to come up with a three syllable name like "Snaggletooth" that sounded every day and almost mundane, and somehow settled on Wiorkettle.

I, too, am a big Snivvian fan. Heck, I came up with their name too. :)

Ah, freelancing memories. Those were the days!

Thank you for visiting my blog Mr. Hidalgo. It's an honor to have the author of these two guys aboard. I think the names of these characters are great. I just wish Hasbro would make figures of them. After all, we need more Cloud City figures. Oh and I would very much like Ozz to be retconned into an Ugnaught who appears onscreen as well :)
