Evolution of the Basilisk

In KOTOR2, did you notice that the Basilisk War Droid looked like a StarViper (Virago)? That's not what Basilisks are supposed to look like.

Maybe that salvaged Basilisk was rebuilt that way for going into space without a space suit.

The Virago was created by MandalMotors, a company founded by Mandalorians. Basilisks were also created by Mandalorians. I think the salvaged Basilisk was rebuilt and modified and became the first StarViper to ever exist.

So, that might mean that the Virago descended from the Basilisk.

date Posted: Oct 21, 2005 6:56 PM Ok I think this is how this has been retconned. A Basilisk War Droid looks like this. The StarViper looks like this KOTOR2 based their Basilisk War Droid off the StarViper, so it has been retconned as that being a "Basilisk Starfighter" which was indeed a ancient predecesor to the StarViper.

date Posted: Oct 22, 2005 9:26 AM Wait a minute, if the Onderonians knew that was a Basilisk when it landed, then that means it wasn't rebuilt in a new way and the Basilisks that looked like the StarViper were probably the neo-crusader versions (kinda like the way the Mandalorian armor changed).
