Hey folks! Gahmah has once again returned.

Gahmah has heard a lot of gamers (mostly PS2 gamers) complain that they can't get the expansion pack for Battlefront 2 because it is only available on Xbox Live, and there is no disc containing the expansions for either platforms. Okay, let this be a civilized chat that doesn't involve any whining.

Gahmah thinks Gahmah has found the reason behind this lack of disc. Gahmah doesn't think it's because either Lucasarts or Pandemic Studios are being lazy, but it could be something else.

Recently, Gahmah had rented the Halo 2 map pack (there's nothing wrong with a Star Wars fan liking Halo) from a video store. Downloading from the disc will add the maps to the main game files, but not the exclusive video. As a fact, it costs less to rent a video game than to buy it at the store. For not downloading the exclusive videos, this makes it worth the buy instead of the rent. If you rent the expansion pack, you're only getting the expansions for less. However, you only have the exclusive videos for a short time.

So the possible reason for no disc for Battlefront 2 is this: either they are trying to get some other non-downloadable content on to the disc so it would still be worth buying instead of some free-loader renting the disc just to permanently get the downloads at a lower price and/or they could be fixing up some problems with the expansions and/or they are making new stuff and waiting until it's all out.

There could be other reasons, but Gahmah doesn't want to make it look like Gahmah's throwing propaganda against Lucasarts or Pandemic (or any video game companies, for that matter).

Oh, and Gahmah's an Xbox (and PC) gamer, and Gahmah's sorry about the gamers who can't get the expansion pack, but don't complain towards Gahmah (hey, Gahmah said Gahmah was sorry), because Gahmah doesn't have Xbox Live....yet. Even if Gahmah does get it, don't complain.
