In KOTOR, Darth Revan and Darth Malak are often referred to as Revan and Malak, even before their corruption, as if those are their real names.
Why is this? What was Revan's real name, just Revan? Or the name you give him/her (let's just assume that the canonical Revan was male and light side) at the beginning of the first game?
Same thing goes with Malak.
Well, aren't "Revan" and "Malak" Sith titles?
Once, they were Jedi, and then we hear them always being referred to by their Sith names (like Obi-Wan referred to Darth Vader before Luke learned the truth), probably because they aren't who they once were (and the fact that the Jedi are keeping Revan's identity a secret).
Also, were Revan and Malak the real first Sith Lords to use the title, Darth, and not Bane? Well, Darth Bane was hundreds of years after Revan and Malak.
And what was Bastila's Sith name when she fell to the Dark Side? She was Malak's apprentice and (if you are playing the Dark Side) your apprentice. We only hear her referred to as "Bastila". Tell me it is not Darth Bastila, Darth Shan, or Darth Bastila Shan.
I know we don't know Sion's or Nihilus' (we already know Traya's, which is Kreia) real names, but they aren't really that important in this situation.
What are your thoughts on this situation?
