Welcome back to TIEC, it's been a long time since I posted anything. Aside from commenting on other blogs, changing my avatar (I am going for the record!), and changing my blog title I have been rather unproductive. I know what you are thinking, he must be leaving or going on a break. Nope, I thought I would take this opportunity and go back a few steps and post something about myself and my time here in blogsville.

I saw Star Wars in the theater and fell in love with it. I was extremely young at the time. It may not have been the actual day it was released, it may have been later, but I distinctly remember being in the theater. After seeing the film I ran in the yard holding a blaster I fashioned from a stick. I always pretended to be Han Solo. Our dog was always Chewbacca. When I was in fifth grade I broke my wrist the day before summer vacation. On the bright side my parents got a VCR to cheer me up. We borrowed a copy of Star Wars from a friend and my sister and I watched it so many times we could recite all the lines with the movie.

When the PT hit I was really excited. ROTJ blew me away years earlier, watching Luke bat away blaster bolts with his light saber was so awesome. When I saw TPM, it really took me back to the OT. Star Wars was back! A few weeks before AOTC came out I interviewed for a great job as a web developer. I mentioned I was a big comic book and Star Wars fan and some of the people I interviewed with turned out to be pretty big Star Wars fans (see mom watching Star Wars over and over does pay off). Of course I got the job. Months before ROTS was released it started to hit me that there might not be any more movies. I started visiting starwars.com regularly, reading about characters, and hoping to find out that GL would make more movies in the future. I spent tons of time on the databank, reading just about everything. The databank sparked my EU interest (late bloomer). Finally I decided it might be worth checking out the hyperspace membership. The blog came with the membership, and after reading other blogs, it looked like a lot of fun.

It was a year ago yesterday that I got my Hyperspace membership. In that time I have posted a whopping eight (that's right 8 not 80) entries. That does not bother me at all. As many have posted in other blogs sometimes it pays to be patient and figure out what you want to write. Perhaps eight entries in a year is more lazy than patient. I have 6 half written entries on my computer. Some were on subjects that others have already posted, and turned out better than mine, others do not seem exciting subject matter after re-reading them. In one entry I was going call out a certain Legacy of the Force character as a fascist. However after reading more books in the series I do not feel it's the intent of the authors. When I started writing it I was going for a big audience and front page. After spending my time reading other blogs, and searching my feelings, I realize that is not who I am inside. I feel my energy is best spent writing from my heart and mind.

I am eagerly waiting for the 4th installment of the Legacy of the Force series. After reading Darth Bane I am also looking forward to the Darth Plagues novel. Issue #6 of Legacy shipped! I am also getting the TPB of the Stark Hyperspace War so I can read more about my avatar Plo Koon.
