Wow I wasnt even a thought 30 years ago and its wild to think that people were experiencing the wonder, craze and awesomness that was Star Wars. Even though it killed me that i could'nt make it to CIV, I hope everyone who is there a blast and how could you not!? I spent the day watching the original movie and even got to pick up the Star Wars stamps before I headed to work. Lovin the new layout on starwars.com and congrats to George Lucas for making a film that has changed so many lives in so many ways. Thank you!
I remember the first time I saw star wars (A New Hope) when I was 6 or so, and my father played it on tape for me and my brother and from that day on, its been nothing short of a wild ride. Even everyone at school had the action figures and during recess we would play every iconic scene through the use of make-shift stages. And there was always that one kid whom was at everyones envy who had the Millennium Falcon. Yeah it was pretty awesome how much people loved and love it still. I was so pysched when I first heard news of Episode one coming out. After having saw the originial trilogy countless times, there would finally be a movie to fill some of the gap. You could imagine how excited I was when I woke up the morning Ep. I was released and seeing my parents with tickets to go see it along with a paperback version of the book of Ep. I and a sticker book (both of which I still have) for me and my brother. It was nothing short of amazing. Do I dare call it... "The wonder years". Alot of my memories as a kid are linked with this phenomenon and I wouldnt have it any other way...
Happy 30th Anniversary Star Was and many many more!!!!!!!
