Myself and the rest of the Hawaii Star Wars fans (yes, all 6 of us), were watching ANH last night and one of the fellows with us started rooting for Luke to win Leia's heart. (I did think we were in Hawaii, not Kentucky, but I digress).
This got me to thinking. I wonder when the movies were first released who people wanted to end up with Leia? A scruffy looking flyboy, or sweet, innocent farmboy. I wasn't born until 1984, and my first experience with Star Wars was Return of the Jedi, so I immediately knew Luke and Leia were siblings and never got to pick a team to root for. For those of you who saw the films released in the theaters, or who at least saw them in chronological order later, who did you want to see Leia end up with? Or did you even care?
