Letter of Complaint To The Tenants Association of 500 Republica
Re: Activity of Guests of Resident of Apt. 7000.A (Senator Padme Amidala)

From: Residents of Apt. 7000.B (Amb. Thrace Zane & Ms. Korelis Zane)

Esteemed members of the Association I am writing this letter as a matter of last resort. Unfortunately, I can keep silent no longer. For quite some time, (of which, in many instances, I have holovid documentation) I and my family have had to endure certain guests to apartment 7000.A.

It has been one issue after another for years and it's more than enough. While I applaud Senator Amidala's work and value her as a friend, I have to draw the line at some point. Below is the list of documented complaints:

* Numerous Assassination Attempts- As this is not directly her fault I wouldn't usually mention it, but during the last attempt, the would-be assassin (who's first language was not Basic) rendered the B as the first letter of the Basic alphabet and entered my apartments. In addition to extensive damage to recently refinished crown molding in the foyer, the incident resulted in the death of a beloved pet (that itself, was quite expensive). We have also experienced repeatedly, broken windows and extensive damage to our private landing pad and veranda balcony. The last damage sustained to the balcony was incurred when a high end luxury model speeder was mistakenly shot out of the arial lanes in an attempt to take out a would-be assassin and subsequently crashed onto our property.

* Visitors- This also would not be a problem if the visitors were at least courteous enough to keep their voices down and not be rowdy. The constant stream of military & Senatorial officials is a bit daunting but acceptable. What is of no comfort to me as a citizen is being greeted by an inebriated (and barely coherent or vertical) Senator Organa upon returning to our residence after an evening at the Opera House with my husband. I've no doubt the issues of the Republic weigh heavily on the Senator and I know that he misses his wife dearly but for the sake of decorum, this sort of behavior must cease!

* The Jedi- An increasingly problematic thing and each has their own set of issues that needs to be addressed:

-Yoda- I respect and genuinely like the Master of high esteem but I fear he's becoming a little testy and dotty in with his increasing years. While entering my apartments with my visiting niece and nephew, I paused to greet him and asked how he was and he replied "Break me, a *expletive* give!" and shook his cane at me. I had to listen to my niece and and nephew recite this and dissolve into peals of laughter for the whole weekend. And no, their parents weren't pleased when they picked them up.

-Mace Windu- I have no problem with a glowering Jedi. I realize things throughout the Republic are getting out of hand and the Jedi are clearly overworked. That being said, I refuse to tolerate Master Windu putting out his deathsticks on the carpet in the corridor or the fact that he tosses them out of his speeder when he swoops around the building on his way to or from 7000.A. If you'd like a monetary breakdown of how much this has cost me in droid maintenance and replacement of my floral veranda decor, I'd be happy to provide it.

-Obi-Wan Kenobi- Master Kenobi is a nice enough fellow but he is of the opinion that everyone is entitled to his opinion. I know he means well, but frankly, he's just too ruly. You'd think that those outside of the Jedi Order would be exempt from his edicts, but alas, we are not. I have been advised by Master Kenobi on multiple occassions that "I have much to learn." on activities ranging from how to properly operate a turbolift to how long I should allow my speeder to idle before I leave my residence. I have tried to accept his constant criticism with a smile and deference but my patience is wearing thin. I fear I may just tell him into which orifice he may deposit his sage advice when next it's dispensed.

-Anakin Skywalker- The Uber-Offender! I like him, I really do, but he's quite unstable and one never knows how he's going to be. I've come to dread meeting him in the corridors. Some of the time, he's fine and greets one with a smile and kind word. Then there are the times where he seems somewhat paranoid. In one such instance, I entered the corridor behind him, only to have him ignite his lightsaber and assume full battle stance. Once he realized I wasn't a threat, he was nice enough, but really, it was too close a call.

In addition, he experiences horrendous rage fits and there are times when objects have been known to go flying throughout the corridor ( a thing that has necessitated me obtaining new doors and extensive entrance repair on numerous occasions) and even off the veranda of 7000.A And then there's that whole Sith thing he slips into occasionaly. Besides being majorly creepy, it's a mood in which he becomes completely irrational. As I am sure you have record, he cut down a concierge and attendant while in this state, when the mere suggestion was made that he could possibly park his speeder in the appropriate spot. A little over the top as a first response, don't you think?

He has also been known to "borrow" my husband's custom hotrod speeder on occasion for joyriding. A thing that my husband might over look if Jedi Skywalker would refuel it and park it in the appropriate spot or even bring it back at all (we have had to retrieve it from somewhat questionable locations in the lower levels of the city, from time to time).

There are more issues but these seem the most pressing at the moment. We implore the Association to intercede and intervene on our behalf on the issues laid out, as we have exhausted all of our means of resolution.

Thank you for your attention in the matter,

Thrace & Korelis Zane
