The Star Wars Alphabet - P
"Please, please tell me now...."

Sorry. Had a flashback to the eighties.

Welcome back to another week as we get closer to Z.

Princess Leia was my top choice for the letter "P". Out of all the characters that I enjoy from this saga, she is one that has had a clear impact on my life. Throughout my years, I have always had long term relationships and interests in brunettes (including my current fiance). I can only assume that Miss Organa had someting to do with my influential years in making this happen.

What I also like about her is that she is not your typical fairy tale princess. She has #####. She can give it as good as she gets it and many times more so. Leia is a leader. She can use a blaster! What is there not to love?

Of course her most influential impact on me (and many other teenage boys) was in Jabba's Palace. Not as Boussh, but as a slave girl. GRRRRROOOWWWLLL.

Thinking back to my Kenner days, I liked her Bespin figure best. The Hoth one seemed strange to me. I never owned the Endor outfit and her classic one I kept losing her tiny gun. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever had any of her guns last over a week before they were lost or devoured by one of my dogs. :(

Honorable mentions for "P" include: Padme (looks must travel in the family), Poggle the Lesser, Plo Koon, Paploo, and Polis Massa.

See you tomorrow for "Q"!

Excellent choice. Princess Leia is awesome. :)

The Hoth figure is very blah and strange-looking; I never wanted that one. And yes, her teeny tiny gun was quite difficult to keep track of (mine vanished after a few days, I think....).

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

She had to stay warm on Hoth, you know!?! ;)

Leia was the first strong, non-traditional female character in film, IMO. (That's not to say there weren't other strong film females before her. Leia was just different.) I suppose I can forgive you (and every other male out there) ;) for your fascination with Slave Leia (did you see the Star Wars-themed Deal or No Deal on the 28th?). You certainly made a good choice for "P" (although the others are good, too!).

MTFBWY :)
