The Star Wars Alphabet - A
I have seen similar entries with other websites/forums/message boards. and wanted to give my own personal spin. I have a nephew that I have introduced to the Holy Saga and he is a devoted follower. He is still trying to learn the alphabet and I thought this would be one method that might help.

We start with A. I went through many of the obvious selections like Anakin, Amidalla, Aunt Beru, Alderaan and others. My ultimate choice ended with Admiral Ackbar (which is double A's). He gets very little screen time. He doesn't really do much at all. I chose him though for being a mail-in action figure from the original Kenner line. I remember how excited I was when he arrived in the mail. I moved him from B list to A list in my playtime scenarios and having the great Rebel leader charge into battles in the Mos Eisley Cantina, Droid Factory and Dagobah.

Recently, Ackbar has had another surge in popularity thanks to the crew at Robot Chicken with their parody "Admiral Ackbar Cereal." With his signature "it's a trap!" line, this re-introduced this often forgotten character back into the limelight. Combine this with him dancing the "Roger Rabbit" and you have pure genius!

Long live Admiral Ackbar and your Mon Calamari armies!

I've always liked Admiral Ackbar, too. And I'm sure I mailed away for him as well. I also remember The Emperor, 4-LOM, and Nien Nunb being mail-aways.

I do disagree with you slightly; I thought he had plenty to do in "Return of the Jedi". He had a lot to do with the planning and the battle of the Second Death Star.

Anyway, I'm not hung up on the difference.

Every now and then I have a good idea.

I love Robot Chicken, and the Ackbar cereal commercial was hilarious. At the end I was expecting the kids to say "Admiral Ackbar, please!" but they didn't.
