"W" gave me some good choices, except in pictures.

Why is it that I can find a picture of Porkins and Major Derlin but none for Wedge? Oh well.

Wedge Antilles is my top choice for "W". Keep in mind that I am a fan of the Empire and Sith, but there is no denying the impact this Rebel has on the saga.

For one thing, he lives! Not many other Rebels can claim that as we knew some of them very briefly.

Additionally, he participates head on in some of the most major battles including both Death Stars and the land battle of Hoth. Wedge is the one that blows up the second Death Star from the inside!

I wonder why he is left out from the medal ceremony at the end of A New Hope? At least Chewie got to stand up there with Han and Luke. Maybe Wedge earns a promotion after Return of the Jedi. I am sure the EU covers it.

Much like Grand Moff Tarkin, Wedge did not get an action figure for years. I had to use additional X-Wing Pilot Lukes to include Wedge in Snowspeeder and X-Wing battles.

My other choices for "W" include Watto, Wicket W. Warrick, and Wookies!

So cut the chatter Red 2 and give it up for our unsung hero!
