I don't really have much time to watch televison and so much of what's on TV isn't all that good to begin with. As Homer Simpson is so fond of saying "TV sucks!" But every so often a show comes along that is worth watching. Aside from the aforementioned Simpsons, the only other TV show I make a point of watching is 24.

24 is a Tom Clancy novel done right in live action. The show is intense, gripping, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. And it keeps getting better. Jack Bauer makes MacGyver look lame, Patty and Selma Bouvier's opinion notwithstanding. Bauer was able to take out 12 terrorists all by his lonesome and helps take down a corrupt President of the United States in season 5(and if that spoiled it for you, the season finale aired in May so you have no excuse). Well this year, it looks like the people who vote for awards shows finally figured out that 24 is the best show on television.

But the best part of that may have been the 24 parody sketch that aired during the Emmys. While I would love to see video of it, at least the L.A. Daily News gave us a transcript. If you love 24, check this out. If you haven't seen the show it may be a bit confusing.
