You Must Unlearn What You Have Learned

The Circle is Now Complete. . . Maybe
Even before I was born, my parents put a Mickey Mouse poster in my nursery, so I basically grew up figuring that Mickey was a close family friend. Combine that with my earliest memory being seeing the original Star Wars in the theater with my parents and you can figure out why I still love Disney and Star Wars while many of my other childhood toys and interests remain nothing but a memory.

For years I've searched Disneyland in vain to find Mickey Mouse as a Jedi Knight. You can imagine my joy and frustration last year when I learned that Disney was making a Jedi Mickey available exclusively at Star Wars Weekends. They were finally making the Mickey I wanted most, but there was no way I could make it. I was able to find one for a reasonable price on ebay though, so I picked it up.

Then this year, I learn that Disney decided to do yet another Star Wars Mickey, this time as Darth Vader. Well, once again I was forced to go the ebay route, but I did find one and he arrived today. While I think Darth Tater is the funniest Vader collectable I've ever seen, Darth Mickey is the cutest Vader collectable I've ever seen. And since it combines my favorite cartoon character with one of my all time favorite cinematic characters, it ranks as my favorite Vader collectable.

My Star Wars Disney plush collection is now complete, or at least until Disney decides to make Minnie as Padme and/or Princess Leia:D
