Ok, here's a random thought. Ok, maybe not random. I was reading the book Dark Lord: the Rise of Darth Vader again and it hit me. What would have happened if Vader met Bail Organa's wife (I know she's the Queen but her name escapes me) and baby Leia? Remember, Vader expressed interest in meeting the Queen, but circumstances did not play out for him to do so. But IF Vader HAD met her, what would have been the outcome?? Bail was terrified because he knew deep down that Vader was in fact Anakin Skywalker- Leia's biological father. That realization scared Bail to no end. IMO, if the scenarios played out differently, Vader would have recognized baby Leia as his child through the Force. He would have been absolutely furious at the deception. The Royal Family of Alderaan would have paid dearly for it (read Vader would have killed them) and Leia would be Vader's to raise. Scary thought, and Bail knew this. It would have been Bail's worst nightmare come true. Bail did not want Vader anywhere near his family because of Leia. Lucky for him, it did not turn out that way.
