It's been a year since I began blogging on this site. I can't believe it!! As
JediPrincess77 said in her blog, time sure does fly by.
I actually began back in August of last year. To be a part of this, I had to create my own unique Star Wars identity. I figured most people would have either a Jedi name or Sith (Darth) name attached in some way to their onscreen identity. Just "testing the waters" so to speak, I chose vadersgirl as my onscreen identity. The site gave me the 33 you all see behind it. Don't ask me why-- I don't know. I found nobody had that name, so I took it. And for a while it seemed I was the ONLY Female with Vader's name in the title. That is, until
WifeofVader made an appearance.
At first, I just left comments on various blogs. I just wanted to get the feel before beginning one of my own. I believe it was
Jedi Master Mina's blog on Darth Tater (remember that blog, girl???) that I first made an appearance. Once I got the feel of blogging, then the fun really began!! And the rest is history.
As you all know, it was not long after that when I began giving you all a little insight to my life. You've all been very supportive over the past year with the ups and downs of life. And to all of you I extend a very big heartfelt "THANK YOU!!"
Hansgirl3 was the first to contact me via email. Shortly later
JP77 and
Jedi Master Mina followed. You girls are really great. Even
WifeofVader wanted part of it. To all the Spew Crew - and you know who you are!- I'm really glad we're friends, though we've never met. Maybe someday we will!!
Some of you I found out had your own place at myspace. So I created one just for me. And we've stayed connected either here, there, or by email. I hope we remain friends.
Now for the update. As most of you know, my husband had surgery on his back in March of this year. Recovery has gone much better than even the doctor thought possible. He was finally able to return to work last month. He is still sore, but not in pain like before the surgery. I hope things go well there.
And with my oldest padawan, this school year is promising to be better than the last. He has a better student/teacher relationship than he did last year. Hopefully this year will continue to be on a positive note.
Things are looking up for us. I hope the trend stays. Thank you all for putting up with such a long blog.
