I HAVE FAILED YOU ANAKIN
I HAVE FAILED YOU ANAKIN

I don't know if this topic has been discussed so if it has millions of apologies. Anyway, ever given deep thought about this comment from Obi-wan to Anakin? The most obvious analogy would be failure from teacher to student right?
I play this scene over and over again, not for the batlle, but for the
dialogue. It is so deep and intense between the two. My take is this:
So many times throught out AOTC and in novels and ROTS we see
Anakin struggling with emotion just barely boiling over. Many times he
tries to talk to Obi-wan about his feelings and is turned away by him. Obi-wan turns on the Jedi Order teachings or Words Of Wisdom rather than
just being a FRIEND. Anakin looks for guidance and understanding
and instead receives more criticism ( what I like to call Paternal scolding).
Anakin explains this well in AOTC when speaking to Padme' as she is
packing her things in her appartment.... Obi-wan manages not to see it...
He is overly critical, what's worse ... he never listens!! It's not Fair!...
He's crying for help. Not whiney... So my take is this: Obi-wan did not
fail as a mentor, teacher he failed as a FRIEND... Please be gentle with
your comments.... Remeber it's just an opinion.
