Hello again Blogsville! TGIF!....sorry couldn't resist that one. Ok on with you it you say? Well alrighty then. Today I am here to discuss the endless connections within our beloved Saga of .... you guessed it! Star Wars.
There are so many spectacular connections and comparisons throughout the OT and the PT. Not to mention all the great character traits that are passed on throughout the related and non relative characters. Although today I am not going to focus on such things. Not that they are irrelevant, I just don't wish to go there today.
Star Wars..... The Legacy of Secrets. Have you ever noticed that the WHOLE Saga itself is surrounded by a Secret? Now I don't mean like for example, that Palpatine is really Sidious, or that Darth Vader was once the Greatest Jedi to have ever graced the order. I'm talking about the Biggie the numero uno, the Secret that is the very plot that carries the Saga. It involves the same man throughout both Triologies..... in the PT he CHOOSES his Secret, where in the OT the very secret he chose ends up CHOOSING him.
I am talking about Anakin Skywalker. In the PT he falls deeply in love with Padme', the Senator of Naboo and once former Queen. They marry and keep it a SECRET, so he can go on being a jedi and fulfill his destiny as the *chosen one*. Though unexpectedly the couple finds themselves in an even greater dilema, they are pregnant! As Anakin's fate unravels the most unpleasant events occur, leaving his deceitful SECRET to turn against him.
So as the OT begins an old SECRET has been revealed unleashing a new SECRET that is hidden from the one who CHOSE to hide it in the first place. Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker, is surrounded yet unaware of his SECRET LOVE'S hidden Secret......his children. Once again our Saga is complete in the term of Full Circle. The Secret is still there, only altered to hide it from the Secret Keeper to begin with.
Ironic isn't it? Anakin lived out his first half of his life, hiding his most precious possession.... LOVE. As he lived on as Darth Vader for the remaining years of his life, he was deceived and deprived by his LOVE'S SECRETS.....his only children.....created by his brightest secret, his LOVE.....Padme'. Interesting, how the order forbid such things as attachment, possessions, even personal LOVE. Though the very thing the Jedi swore to Forbid, saved them in the end and the whole Galaxy too.
So please leave your comments of disagreements, agreements or just thoughts....all are Welcome.

and now we consciously have another reason to thank the maker - I do daily.
I think George must have appreciated O'Henry endings. But sometimes the irony hurts so much.

So true Angel my dear! Have you also considered why it was decided to leave Luke with his family? I believe Yoda and Obi-Wan decided to boldly break an atiquated tradition here. Depriving young Padawans of their family - the love, security, guidance - was a contributing factor to the ultimately demise of the Jedi. It did at that. A big lesson that one cannot remove love from their exsistence. It is life itself. It may have some consequences but the positives outweigh it.
I loved your addition of Palpatine. Him finding out in a mundane official action was a great touch.

Well I wasn't going for the obvious, seriously! It was something that I really never noticed or gave much thought about it, until just recently. All this talk about who deceived who and who really did this or that....it just hit me that the whole thing is based on Secrets..
But sometimes the irony hurts so much. My sentiments exactly.

Perhaps Sidious was on to something when he said, "the Jedi and the Sith are almost identical in every way..." Obi-Wan, seemed to become very comfortable using secrets; which on the surface might appear to come straight out of the Sith handbook. However, Yoda & Obi-Wan used it for the good of the galaxy, the Sith used it for their own selfish agenda, and Padme & Anakin used it to cover their love (which in my opinion reflected the shadow of greed).
BTW, I see my Sith mind tricks are working on you. Anyone who says I'm smooth is most definitely under some kind of twisted mind control.

As a kid I thaught the OT was a really cool movie I could drag my little brother to.
As an adult I get what Angle is saying. The big secret is that the whole story is about family and the power of love.

I had never thought of it that way before, angel...but it makes total sense. Sometimes what should be so obvious is not so much so, and we "catch" things that we never noticed before (even after watching it hundreds of times). Great catch here!!
Also loooooved your latest chapter . I'm interested in what Palps will do next...I, like the "goldenboy," also liked how you brought him into this.

Good observations. I've long believed that the Jedi forbidding love is what ended up causing the fall of the Order. I think it ended up cutting them off from the galaxy at large and made them oblivious to what was going on with Anakin.

Perhaps Sidious was on to something when he said, "the Jedi and the Sith are almost identical in every way..." Great connection there SL8, and I agree. Both groups, affiliations, *Order* or organization if you will...and common beliefs.

Too many secrets will always catch up to people in the end! Don't people EVER get that? Especially in Anakin's situation. It's so sad because even when he thought he was happy and content, he really wasn't. His life was so sad.

The Jedi needed to fall in order to learn how great love is and how one simple, yet deep feeling can save or destroy the entire galaxy. The secret of Anakin's love is unfortunately kept from him during the second half of his life, but that was mainly his choice. he turned away from his onlylove (Padme) by force chocking and eventually killing her (he killed her with his anger I tells ya!) so his love, in this case his children turned away from him until he was once again ready to receive this love without the anger that came with it. In the end, anakin learned the true object of love, and how you did not need to "posses" someone in order for them to love you. In other words, that the person could leave you and that you needed to let go of that love as well. Great Blog.

As a novelist my self, i can give u a piece of advice-pace yourself, please. yes, i know sometimes one has to let it all tumble, but if this is how you start a masterpiece, then you may frankly just end up eith, well, the pieces and no master. please remember to levelise your wisdom. I mean, going from the climax drawing end of Chapter 11 to the dralll of Ch 12, is a turnoff!

don't be so hard on her, all off the chapters she wrote so far were fantastic.
well they are at least allot better than the other fan-fic I read so far.
PS I think Chapter 12 is one of the best chapters you wrote so far angel.

Weakling! this insert does not hold up to your previous entries! Weak? I am sorry. It's OK, I accept all sorts of criticism. I appreciate the honesty, really. Although, I can not post a book here now can I? I'm just writing what I would call installments or short stories. Unfortunately it can't be all sex related now can it?

Oh wow...that made me tear up a little (although I have been in a rather emotional mood lately...so this only added to it). And the fan fic was good...I always enjoy reading your work. Keep up the good work and I hope to read more stuff soon.

Once again our Saga is complete in the term of Full Circle.
Good stuff! AND, the way the Force comes full circle completely depended on all that secret business you were talking about. Good taken over by evil, evil overcome with good: Anakin's rebelliousness (inspired by love, no doubt) creates Luke & Leia, Luke & Leia destroy the evil Empire and turn Vader's heart back to good. Too many circles to keep track of!
Great fan fic too! I'm looking forward to the next installment, no matter what it's rated!
