Duel of the Fates (ep.1 track) Why is it called that?
For the longest time I wondered why the music track they played was called "Duel of the Fates". Now I have a theory as to why.
As we all know, Qui-Gon Jinn was killed during the battle with Darth Maul, leaving Obi-Wan Kenobi to be Anakin's master. Qui-Gon had already seen one apprentice, Xanatos (see eu), go over to the darkside. Had it been Qui-Gon battling Anakin/Darth Vader on Mustafar, I believe he would have killed Anakin as he layed on the cliff-side. This would open up a world of possibilities as to what would have happened to the Jedi Order, The Republic, Palpatine, etc etc.
