2005, the year that marks the end of the Star Wars movies. The circle has been complete, I personally have spent a lot of money on Star Wars stuff. But I must tell you that all but one where good buys.
The one that isn't was a non-licensed Stormtrooper costume, made of fiberglass. Even so I ordered it on February, it didn't get done in time for the movie opening as promised, didn't fit when it finally got done, was poorly made, weighted a lot and there is no other Star Wars premiere for me to use it. But all in all I got my money back and kept the helmet, that is a great replica, feels like a real helmet, not a rubber/plastic thing.
Karma is a thing to consider... If I had done what I wanted (and that was beat the crap of a thirty plus with the mental age of a thirteen year old, while dressed as Darth Vader) I wouldn't have got my money back, wouldn't use it to buy a new home theater and wouldn't enjoyed the DVD as much as i do (sorry neighbours).
But 2005 was a good year, even with the whole costume thing. I finally got me a dinner table, and some odd furniture that really lacked for my house like shelves and other things to keep stuff that ain't cardboard boxes.
I spent a hell of a good time with my girlfriend, played some great video games like Battlefield 2 and Battlefront, got a new PC (finally) and enjoyed the time I had with my friends and family.
I'm finally working as a System Analyst, having more time to do my thing, less preoccupations (Doing analysis and programming is too cumbersome most of the times). Job is doing fine, maybe I'll have a promotion this year.
This year's motto : "Try to be a little bit more Zen."
