The Star Wars Saga is complete. We're not getting any more films. And I was just thinking how much I am going to miss Ian McDiarmid playing the Emperor!

I mean, this is just one of the all-time best character performances, and we only get two films in which Ian really gets to just go for it. The voice and the delivery of lines he has created for the darker side of Palpatine never ceases to amaze and thrill me. I want more, and I know I shouldn't! Just kidding. I should, and so should you!

Look, in Episode I, most of what we get of Darth Sidious is him barking orders from a hologram. Great lines, but not much action. In Episode II, we hardly get any Palpatine at all! Just a quick cameo at the end! Horrible! Episode IV, nothing! Nada! Zilch! What a bummer. At least we got Ian added into Episode V; that is always a treat to watch. Sorry, Clive Revill! Of course, Episodes III and VI are the two films in which Ian really gets to shine as the evil Dark Lord! But is it enough? I don't think so!

We need more Emperor Palpatine! We can only hope that George Lucas finds some reason to use Palpatine in the live-action TV series, and then Ian can reprise his role as one of the most powerful villains of all time, and make us all REALLY happy!
