Since when did it become such great news whenever it's announced that a movie is going to be "dark." I know that many films should have a dark tone to them. Are we going to remake "The Wizard of Oz" and make it dark? It's based on a children's novel! It's not supposed to be dark! I know that the Harry Potter movies are supposed to be getting darker but the fact that they are doesn't warrant fantastic reviews. It also doesn't mean that the newer ones are any better than the very first one. It was light but it was still a great movie. There are many things that go into making great films (script [not necessarily dark], acting, directing, editing, cinematography) and the right tone should be chosen. But it should be the right tone, not always a dark tone. Just don't tell me that the "Star Wars" movies should be dark. The first one made (Episode 4: A New Hope) is great and is as light as you can get! I'm done my rant now. By the way, I just thought that the picture was funny.
