Why not EG instead of EU?

Well, i've been thinking. Why isnt the expanded universe called the expanded galaxy? I mean, all of the events that happened in the EU were done inside of their galaxy, and until the vong invaded, they didnt know that they could pass out side of their galaxy safely or whatever. Just imagine all of the stuff going on in other galaxies, and think of all of the books and games that could be made from them.

I see what you mean yodabud3! They don't really mention the word universe too much, and as we all know, at the beginning of each film, it says,
a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
It doesn't say universe. Even with the Yuuzan Vong (sp?) invasion, it still took place in GFFA, although they invaded from another galaxy.
