Is A New Hope or Revenge of the Sith the best of the six?
Is Star Wars better than Episode 3? I don't think so, but many people prefer it. Let's think about it.

Episode IV
1.Fight between Vader and Obi-Wan.
2.Death Star trench run.
3.Young son of Anakin learns of the force.
4.Classic movie.

Episode III
1.Fight between Anakin an Obi-Wan.
2.Order 66.
3.Wookiee battle.
4.Space battle.

Anything I missed?

I just have to say that I think Revenge of the Sith is the best of the six. It's just so action packed and it has such a deep (though dark) story line. And I truly loved the lightsaber fights! 5 lightsaber fights! DUDE. And the space battle at the beginning was so amazing. And I loved Grevious...and Sidious...and Mace...basically the whole movie. Though, A New Hope will always be 'Star Wars'. It's the first and it's a classic and would deffinitly come next on my list.

1- Revenge of the Sith
2- A New Hope
3- The Emipre Strikes Back
4- Return of the Jedi
5- Attack of the Clones
6- The Phantom Menace

The STAR WARS saga are the best movies ever to have been made!

No one can really say which is the best overall of the six. Although I may sound like a kindergarten teacher when i say this, each movie is special in its own way. You can probably cancel out Episodes I and II.
However, it is fair to say that ROTS has the best lightsaber fights by a mile, best special effects, and in my opinion the best score.

I would have to say that I like A New Hope the best. I was introduced to the SW universe with it. The wonder I felt watching it was unlike anything else I have ever experienced watching the other five. ROTS does outdo the other movies in its effects and battle scenes, but nothing will beat the original for me ever.

It's hard for me to watch OT now because it's so slow-paced and quiet. It still glimmers, though.

I have heard that ESB is the best of all the movies since I can remember. I love all of the movies, even parts of TPM, but I have to vote for ROTJ. How can that not be the best one...after all, Luke has some great moments and I am glad for the romance and the happy ending. :)

I like ROTS, but it still makes me cry...so does ANH....and the others too, so I have to go by which one is happy tears :)

Well, flightprincess is right, it should be fairly clear that ESB is generally thought of as the best of all the films, at least before ROTS. I agree that the OT is slower than ROTS, but there's a reason for that. Lucas has said in interviews that 60% of everything he wanted to portray in the PT was done in ROTS, leaving only about 20% for the other two.

cont.
So E3 had to be quick paced to get everything in. The other two PT movies had a lot of unecessary fluff that wasn't needed, so GL could pace it really fast. The OT splits the importance of the story pretty evenly at around 33% per movie. Having said that, here's my order:

1-ESB
2- ROTS
3- ANH
4- ROTJ
5- TPM
6- AOTC

I flipped the last two at the bottom. I know that most people hate TPM, but at least the script was better. Yeah I wish Jake Lloyd would die, and of course Jar Jar is worthless, but at least we never had to hear a line like "I wish I could wish these feelings away, but I can't."

Although, I must say, whenever anyone says that or anything like that, I do and will always think of Star Wars. So, you see, even the things about SW that we may have done differently still stick with us. SW will always be a part of our lives. - Yoda out

It's ESB all the way, and that'll never change for me.
