I had a dream last night that someone mailed me an advance copy (haha, it must have been a super advance copy!) of Republic Commando: Triple Zero. It wasn't even addressed to me - it was addressed to someone in Australia - but somehow it got delivered to me and I was like "yes!" and then I started thinking "hmm, maybe I should forward it to the person it was intended for" and then I thought "well, I could read it first..." and then I thought "but maybe it'd be more fun if I wait till everyone else had it". I don't know what my final decision would have been because I woke up.

I do remember that I opened the book to the acknowledgements, but I couldn't read it because they were in some really strange script font and a very light colour. I also remember the book's cover had three commandos across the bottom with Coruscant in the background, the text Triple Zero was at the very bottom, and the colour scheme was sort of navy and red. (I guess we'll have to wait until the real cover comes out to see how wrong that is!)

Ah, dreams.

Speaking of Republic Commando, I played the game again yesterday. I beat the whole Geonosis compaign on Normal in one sitting! Woot! I decided that I'm not good enough for Hard yet - that would proably require skills such as the ability to aim while moving (instead of standing out in the open whenever firing, as I do now - lol) and the ability to throw grenades without owning oneself (you'd think I'd have learned by now that I throw nades with my left hand!). So instead, I'm playing on Normal but I'm keeping track of my personal and squad deaths. Squad deaths means any time the whole squad is knocked out and I have to reload, or when I'm knocked out while by myself. Personal deaths is the above, plus any time I'm knocked and one of my squad has to revive me. Here are the numbers from yesterday, for the whole Geonosis campaign:

Personal Deaths: 12
Squad Deaths: 2 (both were when I was by myself)

So those are the numbers to beat next time I play! (Because we all know there will be multiple next times.) Maybe if I can get those down to like 1 or 2, I'll be good enough to try the game on Hard.
