The whole Jedi vs. Sith 'cold war' in the middle part of RotS is so well done in the book! I thought it was intriguing enough how it was portrayed in the movie, but dude! There's like 5 extra layers there, really! Anakin's tantrum about wanting to be a Jedi Master... he wasn't just being whiney, he wanted to able to access restricted holocrons about Force premonitions. Palpatine saying that if the Dark Lord of the Sith walked through the door, he'd ask him if he had the power to end this war... Anakin modifying this to asking him if he had the power to save Padme. The whole conversation between Anakin and Obi-Wan where Obi asks him to spy on the Chancellor, and how everything transpired as Palpy told Ani it would. Obi-Wan arguing for Anakin's sake in the Council - the only hinting of this you get in the movie is when Obi says "The Council requests it of you" and "I'm on your side, Anakin". o_o This book is blowing me away.

I also really love all the nods to the EU in it. Lorian Nod, Haruun Kal, Alpha, Ventress, etc. Awesome.

Yay for Mon Mothma and Bail Organa scene! And that also explains more about Padme's 'sounding like a Separatist' moment in the movie - which was kinda random, IMHO.

Anyways, back to reading...
