Bubble Gum Not Included
As a kid, I collected the Star Wars trading cards from Topps. I had a ton of them, not even caring that most were duplicates. They were like cardboard gold to me, little pieces of the film to call my own. And remember, I'm 32 years old, so this was before home video, cable TV or the internet . . . possessing images from the Star Wars films was a very big deal (I have a feeling some of my fellow SW artists will agree with me). I have fond memories of riding my bike to the local Tom Thumb or Ben Franklin store when I had enough change saved up to buy a new pack.

So years later, being able to contribute to the sketch card series for Revenge of the Sith was a very very big deal (thanks for putting me in the game Tom!). I drew 400 cards, each one inked and "colored" with graytone markers. And despite the inevitable pain in my wrist after finishing the lot, I would gladly do it all again.

My participation in the Topps card set led me to follow in the steps of my fellow artists in creating a set of personal sketch cards that fans can order through my website's online store (thanks for the help with the cards Grant!). Not surprisingly, most of the cards I've done have been related to that galaxy far, far away.

What an incredible, wonderful, circuitous route I've taken in the Star Wars trading card world.
